Lately I’ve been traveling regularly for work. I’m typically traveling at least twice a month which can take a huge toll on my skin. There’s something about traveling that makes me always want to wash my hands and face even more so than my regular routine which can be harsh. Since the beginning of the year I’ve gotten down my travel routine and have been having good results so far.
I start my routine by cleansing my face with Philosophy Purity Cleanser and priming my skin with a light moisturizer like CeraVe. This keeps my skin moisturized but isn’t too thick to cause breakouts, my dermatologist recommended it years ago and now I can’t live without it. Next I’ll gently apply LaMer Illuminating Eye Gel to my lids and under eye which helps with fatigue and stress while creating a youthful, awakened and newly brighten look. Traveling to the east coast always leaves me tired from the timezone change. To lighten and brightening my under eye area I’ll tap Onomie’s Bright Concealing Elixir under my eyes and gently tap it into my skin with my fingertip. When I need an extra boost I’ll add a dab of Onomie’s Illuminating Eye Treatment over top and blend into my skin with my fingertip ever so lightly. It adds a nice highlight and brightens up my under eyes.
I always bring a fragrance like Jo Malone’s “Mimosa & Cardamom” or my favorite Flowerbomb travel spray. Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner helps keep my lips moisturized when traveling since I never seem to drink as much water as when I’m home. Lastly, I’ll bring my favorite lip color. Lipstick Queen’s Velvet Rope in Star System has become my everyday go to, it’s a beautiful nude that goes on like velvet and feels great on my lips all day long.
I’m always perfecting my beauty and travel routine, what products are your must-haves when traveling?
